H.O. Homologated Options began in 1978 and was started in order to build the XD Phase 5 race cars. The company Phase Autos had already built the XC Cobra spoilers and bonnet scoop.
Wayne Draper who had worked at Ford creating many of the GTs had worked with Howard Marsden on the XY Phase III in 1970.
Homologated Option was the 1st meaning of H.O. however Howard changed it to ‘handling option' so the press would understand it. After trying to maintain the name with XA XB and XC, Wayne decided to use it for the code name for the XD when Ford had lost interest in racing. The rest is History.
Wayne maintains the image that name represents to all Ford Falcon lovers, building custom performance Falcons as requested by their owners. |

For anyone who has managed to buy a 6 Cylinder Falcon, there is a potential Performance Option not only with our body parts (from XC to BF) but with great engine performance parts. Brendon's BA XT normally aspirated 4 litre was consistantly in the low 14s and his EA in the low 12s - read about it in Performance Ford Magazine and check his WEBSITE: www.jimmockmotorsport.com
This will make your 6 HO a real contender against any V8. It SHOULD be noted that once again Keith Alexander`s
HO INTERCEPTOR had won the Best BA in Show at the All Ford Nationals at Heathcote on Sunday 20 Nov 2005. There`s a message there somewhere.
All this can be seen in Performance Ford Magazine articles. There have been many articles written about HO, just refer to them or email us for information about your special project.
